Who paid for the Amway Center?
The $480 million arena was financed by the Magic contributing $50 million, the city paying for the land and infrastructure, and bonds from Orange County. Amway decided to continue its partnership with the team and purchased the naming rights to the new arena in August 2009 for $40 million over 10 years.

That will still be the practice at the new building, but the minimum base rent will increase from $5,000 to $25,000. Promoters typically pay a negotiated maximum amount for many concerts. That’s now about $50,000 and would increase to about $65,000 at the Amway Center, a 30 percent increase.

Can I bring a purse to Amway Center?
Bag Policy Bags are not permitted at Amway Center events. Guests are permitted to bring one small clutch that is 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 1″ or less. Medical and parent bags are exceptions but will be subject to X-ray at designated locations for entry to Amway Center (max. 14″x14″x6″).
