Scratch Live allows manipulation and playback of digital audio files using traditional vinyl turntables or CD players via special timecode vinyl records or CDs. The product is discontinued and has been replaced by Serato DJ.
Does Serato DJ Pro work with Scratch Live?
Rane is pleased to announce that our products which previously included Serato Scratch Live software are now fully supported by Serato DJ software. DJs currently using Serato Scratch Live with supported Rane hardware have the option to migrate to the new and improved Serato DJ free of charge.

Serato partners up with Rane to launch Serato Scratch Live in 2004 with the Rane SL1. DJs could now access and perform with their entire digital music collection using specially designed control records, control CDs, or MIDI controllers. Scratch Live went on to revolutionize the DJ industry.
Does Scratch Live work with High Sierra?
As Scratch Live is a legacy product, we don’t recommend updating to macOS Sierra as there may be unknown issues. However, we’ve been testing Serato DJ across the beta versions of Sierra and should be able to confirm support shortly after the official release.

As far as we know, Serato DJ supports SoundCloud, Tidal, Beatport, and Beatsource music streaming but doesn’t support Spotify till now. This will be a great loss to Serato DJ software that Spotify couldn’t work well with Spotify since Spotify is the most popular streaming music provider on the earth.
