What is GradeMark?
GradeMark is a feature of Turnitin (a plagiarism protection tool) that allows an instructor to make comments on student papers, similar to Canvas Speedgrader. GradeMark offers unique features such as pre-written comments (QuickMarks) that some instructors may find useful.
How do I use GradeMark in Turnitin?
To access GradeMark to grade the student’s paper, click on the pencil icon in the grade column. Please note that not all accounts have purchased the GradeMark product, if GradeMark has not been purchased. the grademark column will be blank where the GradeMark icon should appear.
How do I see my feedback in GradeMark?
View: Feedback in Grademark (Turnitin.com)
- Select Assignments in the navbar.
- Locate the assignment for which you want to view feedback and click on the link Unread in the Evaluation Status column.
- Select View Turnitin Grademark in the Inline Feedback column.
- Click on Instructor Feedback to see comments.
Can you use Turnitin offline?
The Turnitin App allows you to mark away from the computer, with the ability to download individual assignments for marking offline. This could be of interest if you are marking whilst commuting or travelling for work. The app features: Offline marking.
How do I test my Turnitin?
Navigating to the Similarity Report Launch the Turnitin assignment you’d like to look at. This will take you to a page with a submission tile containing details about the work you submitted to that assignment. Under the Similarity heading on your submission tile, you will see your color-coded similarity score.
Do teachers mark on Turnitin?
Students can submit work to Turnitin assignments created by teachers. Turnitin then check the submission against a repository of journals, publications and internet pages in order to detect matching text. Teachers mark submitted assignments and students access their grades and feedback via Feedback Studio.
How does a student see feedback in D2L?
From the Assignments page, locate your assignment, and click Unread in the Evaluation Status column. From the View Feedback page, you can view your submission feedback, rubric assessment, and grade. If your instructor added annotated feedback to the assignment, click View Inline Feedback.
Can students see Turnitin comments?
Students can view comments, feedback, and other notes from instructors on their submissions to Turnitin assignments by clicking on their submission. Note: Students will not be able to see comments or a grade on their submissions until the Post date has been reached.
Can you use Turnitin on iPad?
As a student, you can submit your paper to Turnitin using the Feedback Studio for iPad app. The app allows you to select your paper from your iPad, then send your paper to Turnitin, view your similarity report, and await feedback from your instructor.

What is a good Turnitin score?
The acceptable Turnitin percentage for similarity score. The acceptable Turnitin percentage is anything below 25% in the similarity report. A Turnitin plagiarism score of 25% and below shows that your paper is original.
