What PSI should I run in my rear shock?
The exact PSI you end up with depends on how plush/firm you want the rear shock to be, but a good starting point is 1 psi for 1 lbs in weight of the rider (including riding gear).
Are FOX forks worth it?
If you want an air fork that rarely uses more than 80 percent of the travel then Fox is the way to go. They have a long history of mid stroke spikiness and getting less than full travel. Blown seals and stanchions that get all fubared up.
Where is the serial number on FOX forks?
The Evolution name and logo are on a sticker on the front fork with the FOX brand name logo. Recalled forks can be identified by the serial number, which is found on the underside of the crown after removing the front wheel.

On FOX shocks 2013+ you can normally find a shock custom tune id printed on the label around the air sleeve:
