Is Makpac compatible with Systainer?
An answer on the previous question has been edited to specifically answer this. Really it was pretty clear, many companies distribute systainers. They’re all compatible with each other (with the restriction that 1st generation won’t stack on top of 2nd generation.)
Is metabox compatible with Systainer?
Although very useful as I have approximately 60 or so Tanos Systainers, they are in fact half compatible as you can only stack it to a Classic Systainer & positively lock it together.
Are all systainers compatible?
Systainer is the brand-name for interlocking tool cases manufactured by Tanos. Systainers included with Festool and Fein tools are compatible with each other, as well as with other Systainers manufactured by Tanos. The current line is called T-Loc, but these can still be stacked on top of the older Classic Systainers.

Are Makita systainers compatible with Festool?
Re: Makita “Systainers” They are functionally identical/compatible to the FT systainers but have slight aesthetic and/or construction differences – e.g. ribbing reinforcements inside.
Does festool own Tanos?
We received information that Tanos, a company owned by TTS Tooltechnic Systems and known best for Festool, is coming out with a new line of Systainer modular tool boxes, called Systainer³. (Thank you Dan for the tip!) Looking into things further, Festool has also announced the new Systainer³ tool boxes in Europe.
What is Festool Systainer?
Systainers (from sys-tem con-tainers) are modular inter-stacking plastic containers used for transporting power tools. Boxes from different manufacturers are compatible and can be stacked and clipped together. A design using four joining clips was introduced by Festool Tooltechnic in 1993.
Are all Festool systainers the same size?
The systainer is not just a case, it’s a system! Systainers come in a variety of heights. The main line of products all feature similar length and width.
