What is a Supplementary information document?
The KIID and SID are documents which contain important investor information that should be read carefully and understood prior to investing so that you can make an informed decision about whether to invest.
What is a KIID document?
The KIID is a two-page ‘fact-sheet’ style document which includes the critical information about a fund. The document aims to help investors understand the nature and key risks of the fund in order to make a more informed investment decision. On 1 July 2012, the KIID replaced the Simplified Prospectus.
What must be in a KIID?
The document must contain the following sections: o The funds objective and investment policy o Charges information o Up to 10 years of past performance history o Risk reward profile (includes the KIID risk rating) o Practical information such as the contact details of the fund house and important notes.
What is the difference between kid and Kiid?
Simply put, KID is a simplified version of KIID. Both KIID and KIDs (Key Information Documents) are documents designed to help investors to understand investment products behaviour and support comparison with other similar investment products.

Supplementary Information Document (SID): This document provides practical information, such as how to make investments with Triodos Bank, how to set up a stocks and shares ISA, charges on the fund and the on-going management of your stock.

Fully licensed AIFMs that market AIFs under the retail “top up” regimes and for UCITS managers will benefit from a transitional regime, requiring them to present the KIID only after 31 December 2019, as their current key investor information will remain valid until that date.
