How much urine can a PureWick hold?
Although the canister can hold up to 2000cc (mL), the urine should be emptied regularly from the collection canister before volume reaches 1800cc (mL).
How long can you wear a Conveen?
The Conveen Optima has built-in ‘balanced’ adhesive, which means it is reliable and skin-friendly. It makes the sheath fit securely to the penis and causes no skin irritations. Each sheath can be worn for up to 24 hours.
How do you remove Conveen?
Problem: Removing the catheter is painful. Solution: A popular technique for gently removing condom catheters is to take a warm washcloth and wrap it around the catheter. Leave on for a minute to loosen any adhesive material. Take caution to use warm water, not hot water, to prevent skin burns.

Therefore, procedure K1006 is not covered.
How often should a Conveen be changed?
I sometimes get gurgling noises too but they tend to die away with use. Something else I’ve found is that I can’t really use the same bag for more than 2 days before it starts to smell, and of course the sheaths should be changed as a minimum every 24 hours.
