Space Engineers leaves Early Access and is free to play for the next three days. There’s also a price drop to $15.99 ($5 off) on Steam. Space Engineers, a sci-fi open world sandbox game, has been in Steam Early Access for over five years.

SpaceEngine is in beta status and up to version 0.980, released in July 2016, it was and still is available as a freeware download for Microsoft Windows. Version 0.990 beta was the first paid edition, released in June 2019 on Steam. The program has full support for VR headsets.

Alone in Space Space Engineers is, quite simply, a game made for messing around with friends. Build and do whatever you want in solo play, but outside of its linear scenarios, it just isn’t as fun. No internet connection required to play the game. Space Engineer can be played both offline or online. When you want a more persistent experience, you can also play on public dedicated servers.

Why is space engineers rated teen?

Realistic gunfire and explosions appear as vehicles are destroyed. The game includes brief drug references in the dialogue (e.g., “Drugs, women, weapons?” and “One of our boys died after sniffing a gram!”). The words “jag off” and “scrote bag” can be heard in dialogue.
