The Dam Wall picnic area is open 6am to 8pm (September to April) and from 7am to 6pm (May to August). This area provides a quiet spot to enjoy the Australian bush with picnic tables with views over Lake Cooby. A walking track is accessible from this area with calm lakeside views.

Toowoomba Region Cooby Dam is unfortunately closed for all boating, fishing and picnic activities due to water quality.
