How do you attach quilt blocks?
The easiest method is to but the edges together and zigzag stitch over them. Jenedel Wilcox shared a 3 Step Quilt-As-You-Go technique with me in a podcast episode that used a 3-step zigzag to stitch the blocks together.
How do you pin quilt squares together?
Put square 2 on top of square one and pin the sides together. Sew the squares together with a ¼” seam allowance, and make sure your seam allowance is consistent. Open up that pair of squares and pin square 3 facing square team. Sew with a ¼” seam and repeat for the next 5 squares and then the rest of the rows.
What is fusible batting used for?

Use your rotary cutter and ruler to get straight edges on the batting pieces and then measure out an appropriate length of batting seam tape. Butt the edges of batting together, lay the batting seam on top of the two pieces where they join, and iron. Voila! Youve now got a nice piece of batting you can use.
Do you need to Backstitch when piecing a quilt?
Backstitching is not necessary when piecing a quilt. Each piece of fabric is sewn together in a way that “locks” the stitches in, so you don’t need to worry about your quilt unraveling. A backstitch isn’t necessary when you are quilting your quilt either.

Should I iron my quilt batting?
Never hang batting, as this causes distortion. Make sure to relax the batting on a flat surface that is large enough to prevent stretching where it overhangs the edges. Never use medium or high heat when removing wrinkles from quilt batting. Do not iron quilt batting to remove wrinkles or creases.
What is the difference between fusible interfacing and batting?
What is this? Another difference is that interfacing is all about joining a piece of fabric to the wrong side of a garment to add stiffness, while batting is all about providing a cushioning and insulating layer to the fabric. Furthermore, interfacing considers the colour of the fabric you are using.
