Are all ANL fuses the same size?
Are all ANL fuses the same size?
ANL fuses are larger and range from 100 to 300 amps while AFS fuses are smaller ranging from 40 to 125. Remember that ANL fuses have the highest capacity of any fuse type so these are ideal for high wattage systems.
What sizes do ANL fuses come in?
ANL fuses come in sizes from 35 – 750 amps. They are typically less expensive than Re-settable Breakers.
What does ANL mean in fuses?
ANL Circuit Fuses ANL fuses are used for general cable protection, providing a ‘medium blow’ (around 1 second) protection. These ANL fuses all feature fixing holes suitable for 5/16″ studs and range from 50 amps to 500 amps. Fuse holders designed for ANL fuses are also available.
Are ANL and mega fuses interchangeable?
Due to their small interrupt capability of 2kA, MEGA fuses are not suitable for use on large battery banks. The ANL fuses that we have in stock are suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V battery systems.
What is the difference between AMG and ANL fuses?
ANL fuses have a higher AIC rating – 6000 amps. AMG fuses only have a 2000 amp AIC rating. That is the largest difference. It relates to battery bank size and the unique ability of a fuse with a low AIC rating to keep the circuit closed after blowing – in effect welding shut.
Are mega and AMG fuses the same?
Each are also suitable for Marine use, even in closed engine compartments, as they are Ignition Protected. AMG Fuses are made by Eaton (Cooper Bussman) and MEGA® Fuses are made by Littlefuse….AMG / MEGA Fuses.

Are mega and midi fuses the same?
The simple answer appears to be to switch to Mega Link Fuses, which have bigger bolts and allow for fatter cables. However Midi fuses typically seem to cover the range around 30A to 150A, whereas most Mega fuses start at 100A and run up to 500A, or so.
Are ceramic fuses better?
Ceramic fuses protect against overcurrent in high-current circuits found in AC or DC electronics, appliances, and electrical equipment. They have higher interrupting ratings and withstand higher temperatures than glass fuses.
Do audiophile fuses work?
According to many audiophiles, Hi-Fi fuses make a difference to the sound, although it’s not the most crucial part of the Hi-Fi system regarding audio quality. Most people don’t hear the difference, and it won’t be worth the money for them. Even if there is a noticeable difference, it doesn’t have to be better.
