The Pioneer XDJ RX2 is an excellent standalone controller. The fantastic screen with touch controls is functional and fun to use. A solid selection of FX options backed by extensive connection options also makes it perfect for working mobile DJs. If you already own the XDJ RX the improvements are not substantial.
Is the pioneer XDJ-RR worth it?
If you don’t mind bringing your laptop to the party and want maximum features for your money, this Rekordbox DJ controller is worth a look. It features visual feedback via screens in the jog wheels and jog-wheel torque adjustment, plus phono/line RCA channel inputs and more.

What is the difference between RX2 and RX3?
The XDJ-RX2 originally supported only Rekordbox DJ software in performance mode or export mode. The XDJ-RX3 however can function not only with Rekordbox software in said modes but is also able to work with Serato DJ Pro. Serato support has been confirmed but is not yet in effect.
