How do I set elevation in ArchiCAD?

- Create a Layer Combination for the layers to show up in the Interior Elevations.
- Left Click S tarting Point (Click 1) > Drag Cursor, which will form a Rectangle Box around the area/room to show.

What is the elevation dimension?
The Elevation Dimension is an object which has to be placed in a Section or Elevation. It automatically finds all stories and dimensions them. All regular ArchiCAD markertypes are available (instead of one in the built-in story marker).
How do you get elevation in black and white in archicad?
You have to select your elevation and go to properties. then check the pencolor for uncut elements and do it whatever you like.
How do you build an interior elevation?
To add an interior elevation
- [STEP 1] Open the project, and open [Level 1] floor plan.
- [STEP 2] Click [Elevation] from [View] tab, under [Create] panel.
- [STEP 3] Click the [Properties] palette > select Interior Elevation, the symbol will be updated.
- [STEP 4] Hover over your plan.
- [STEP 5] Select the elevation tag.
What is an external elevation?
Exterior elevations are as-built drawings that show the exterior sides of the building, from ground level up to the top of the structure.
How do I edit shadows in archicad?
Do a right click on the tab and select Elevation (or Section) Settings.
- Under the Model Display tab, set Fill Uncut Surfaces with: Own Surface Colors (Shaded) and enable Sun Shadow. Note: You can further customize the shadows by adjusting the angle of the sun azimuth and altitude.
- Click OK to exit the dialogue box.
