The refurbished attraction first opened to guests during a soft opening on December 3, 2012. The grand re-opening took place on December 6, 2012. Test Track was closed on January 13, 2020 for a refurbishment.
Why did they change Test Track?
Test Track soft-opened to the public December 19, 1998 after a long delay due to problems revealed during testing and changes to the ride design which prevented the ride from opening on its original date, May 1997.
Why is Test Track closed right now?
UPDATE February 24 – There has been continuing uncertainty over the early closures of Test Track and now a permit has appeared online for electrical work to be done on the building. We are therefore expecting more early closures or an extended refurbishment being announced in the near future for Test Track.
