First year students and transfer students are required to live on campus. Living on campus during your Foundation and/or transfer year provides ample opportunity to meet new people, explore classwork together, and transition to the RISD community.

Restricted animals include dogs, cats, caged rabbits, caged rodents, caged birds, and terrarium reptiles. Other animals may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All animals must meet standard veterinary health and immunization requirements and must be in compliance with local laws and ordinances.
