Our zoos are safely open and ready for your visit. We want everyone visiting our zoos to enjoy a great experience, and we want to continue playing our part in the wider community to keep everyone safe and healthy. Members, Patrons and Fellows no longer need to pre-book Zoo tickets.

There is no problem taking your own food & drink into the zoo although there are plenty of places to purchase food in the zoo. There are picnic tables & plenty of seats where you can sit & eat your own food. over a year ago.
Why is London Zoo closing?
By the time we reopen, our zoos will have been closed for a total of 29 weeks and we expect the pandemic to have cost us £26million in lost revenue. We’ve raised an incredible £6.8m of that back, thanks to generous members of the public. But we’ve a long way to go and will still need help for a long time to come.

Do you have to wear a mask in zoos?
We’ll still be asking you to wear masks in some areas To keep the animals in our walkthrough exhibits as safe as possible (the areas where visitors share the same space as our animals) we will be asking all visitors aged over 11yrs without exemptions to wear facemasks.
