The Recapture Tactics Team (RTT) falls under the purview of the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment and does not deploy. They’re placed in Nuclear Weapon Stations and U.S. naval installations as a permanent security force, and you won’t find these guys asleep at the monitor.
How long is fast training?
There is no guarantee for acceptance, and it’s all based on the needs of the Corps. After acceptance into FAST Company, they begin 5 Weeks of FAST training. From there, they go to an 8-week Close Quarter Battle School. The CQB school teaches FAST Marines how to fight in extremely close quarters.
How do you become a Marine with MSG?
THE CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR MSG DUTY ARE: BE A U.S. CITIZEN, HAVE 18 MONTHS TIME-ON-STATION, HAVE A 90 GT SCORE OR HIGHER, BE QUALIFIED BY MEDICAL AND DENTAL, HAVE AN UP-TO-DATE POST DEPLOYMENT HEALTH ASSESSMENT, HAVE NO NJPS IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, AND BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE A PFT.

Can MSG Marines have tattoos?
Having a tattoo, or several, does not immediately disqualify one for MSG duty. However, they must be within Marine Corps regulations, or if grandfathered in you must be eligible for retention. The MSG Screening Team will screen every tattoo for content.
